Disagree.
Trump will be getting up there in age. Even with his vitality and seemingly very strong command of his mental and physical faculties, he could go out with a massive coronary two years in, who knows...
I think Desantis is an excellent choice to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency and I think Trump making him a very large presence, almost a co-President in some ways, would bolster Desantis for '28 and also allow Trump to do more than he was able to in his first 4 years.

I love DeSantis, but if Trump runs we may have to go with a female VP?
