This happened to me for a while. Check engine light after filling up. Took to dealership and they said it was EVAP sensors or canister and would need to drop has tank to fix. I held off because not paying for a non-issue environmental sensor.
Year goes by and then my gas tank would only go up to 3/4 full. Lasted a couple months before I found someone reasonable to fix. They said canister was bad and the chain had caught on something in tank they had never seen before. Gas tank was jacked and should’ve fixed canister year plus prior.
