Fantasy football is primarily responsible for the NFL's popularity growth over the last 20 years.

And the NFL is very aware of the impact fantasy football has had on their sport. Someone dropped the ball big time by overlooking fantasy leagues in the scheduling algorithm.

My guess is any fantasy impact got lost as they focused on combination of other issues. Lingering Covid uncertainty and attendance possibly impacting the schedule, adding a 17th game, and the uncertainty around London games were new factors they had to consider.

Fantasy leagues have been huge for the NFL, but they also know legalized gambling could have a greater impact. Maybe they simply don’t care because they are focused on that.

Which player on any of these 4 teams would be on a fantasy football playoff team? None of the QBs, none of the RBs except maybe that guy on the Eagles? And then maybe Jaylen Waddle at the WR position?

I don’t think it’s that big a deal.
