Track and field is so stupid
Ark focuses on distance and stockpiles points in events no one cares about
LSU has Olympic sprinters and other events that have bigger goals
If the sec or ncaa wanted a true competition they would put limits on competitors in certain events
If it’s a points competition you are looking for than whoop de doo

I can tell you have no clue about T&F
Arkansas scores in the sprint events well. We may not score all 10's or 8's but that's not how a team title works.

So their 34 (another 12 in cross country)combined national titles are simply because they do this? Seems like a fricking good strategy if you have the 2nd most track national titles of any school…ahead of LSU.
But Arkansas has had plenty of really good sprinters so you aren’t even correct on your take.

When Arkansas first entered the SEC, Roy Kremer, then SEC Commissioner, put a stop to the way the Razorbacks were able to manipulate their scholarship counts. This ruling essentially halted the dynasty the Hogs had built in the SWC.
Now, the new leadership has allowed Arkansas to go back to the ways of old for whatever reason. This allows them to qualify far more than other teams giving them a distinct advantage over all other SEC schools.
