re: University of California system to drop SAT, ACT scores from admissions officially

Maybe the scores should be dropped because apparently it's not a "standardized" test anymore. Kids with learning disabilities can get extra time to take the test. I guess their parents think when they enter the workforce employers will have to give them extra time to complete tasks as well.

On the SAT, students have extended time for each section, and when finished, must wait until the full time is up for that section before moving on to the next section. This can be very frustrating for students with ADHD who cannot sit quietly for extended periods of time. If the student finishes in less than the 5 hours, he still has to sit, but at least he doesn’t have to gear up again to do more testing.
