I have to be honest, I’ve never left a place thinking the people there are rude. Don’t get me wrong, places can be much more friendly than others (namely in the southeast, obviously) but most people I’ve encountered from all over are nice.
I often find people confuse “rude” with “blunt”.
Being in Boston, I definitely get why people would find townies rude. They’re in your face, brash, and move at a quick pace. But honestly it’s not intended as rudeness, it’s just different. Most of them would love to shoot the shite with you and offer you a drink.
