They also were very calm and didn't try and play any race card or blow up on the bartender or anything like that.

Im not sure that matters haha.
Its still was a "i know this incident had nothing to do with race, but its important to know that all race related incidents are automatically worse than all other incidents."
Imagine if he said that about another random interaction. "my wife was assaulted at Albertsons today and its the maddest ive been about a non-racial interaction"
