We have two other catchers on the roster.

It was 1-1, two outs, seventh inning.

You have to score at least one more to win. Is the .168 hitter the best option in that situation?

You’re trying to argue situational baseball with a bunch of idiots who learned the game from their high school coaches. Good luck.

Note: I didn’t watch the game so I have no feel for how things were going. That said, reading your situation, pinch hitting for Milazzo is probably the right thing. Take the lead, then take chances your other D1 Cs can hold it.

I’m sure I’ll get labeled as a Mizzazo hater, but Ell13 and I were both saying, even when Travinski had a few good games, that Milazzo needed to be the main catcher. And I still believe that. So over the course of a weekend his defense will help prevent runs. But in the situation we were in, tie game, bases loaded, 7 outs left, you have to pinch hit someone with a better than 16% chance of getting a hit.
