DIY Cedar Shutters - Waterproofing

Can anyone recommend a waterproofing agent or stain for some cedar shutters? I'd like to maintain the natural color of the cedar (see pic below for general color and style), but everything I'm seeing on Home Depot's website is a colored substance. Any good ideas? TIA

I used Thompson’s water seal on a cedar playhouse. Used it in some wooden planters as well. It remained the same color after application. When it rains, the water beads up and runs off.

Perfect, I think that's the one. Thanks!

Epiphanes is a wooden boat sealer and the only thing I use on exterior doors, shutters, etc. I have found it to last about 3 times longer than anything else.

Cedarshield is way better than Thompson’s. It literally petrifies s the wood and waterproofs it forever. Imagine turning the wood into rock.

Yep. They ended up around 7/8", but they came out really nice. Ended up going with Penofin to maintain the natural color of the cedar.
Locating pilot holes in brick through an inch of cedar is a real bitch though
