The headline is misleading. The study doesn’t indicate the variant affects vaccinated more than unvaccinated in the sense that being unvaccinated somehow protects you better from the variant.
The study looked at 400 vaccinated people that tested positive after getting the shot compared to 400 unvaccinated people that tested positive. Since the vaccine is mostly stopping regular covid, that skews the data as you would expect that a vaccinated person testing positive would have the variant. Unvaccinated testing positive have the likelihood of either one, with regular covid being more prevalent it would be the likely cause.
