re: Those oil change places could charge $100 for a basic oil change, I’d still go

I don’t shop for oil and filters I know exactly what to get. I put it on our grocery list and whichever one of us goes to the store for groceries picks it up while we’re there. And my local Walmart takes the old oil. I just back up to the place that you pour the old oil into a container and a barrel that you toss the old oil filter into. I’ve just had too many screw ups letting someone else change my oil. One of my vehicles has to have a specific grade or it will damage the engine and I have caught them putting in the wrong grade. To the point that one time it destroyed my engine. So 10 minutes of my time to change my oil and to check the other fluid levels and a quick visual inspection is worth it.
