The nostalgia is so all-encompassing. Down to the TV Guide covers and the TV shows playing in the background. I've played the soundtrack album to death (with the radio commercials included, it's the best nostalgia album since American Graffiti's album included the Wolfman Jack song intros.)

I'd gladly live the last years of my life in a retirement community with a theme based on the street scenes that Tarantino recreated.

On one of our repeated theater viewings, the power went out in the AMC just as the Manson family was walking up the street to do their dirty work. So anyone who hadn't seen the movie before, left without knowing about the twist ending and just assumed the murders proceeded as usual.
