Great, take a rail to Dallas. The "things to do in Dallas" are further apart than they are in NY, Boston, or London. Not as many cabs, no subway. You're going to spend someone else's gas money ubering around anyway, lol.

DART continues to expand. You might want to look at the map.
Dallas may not be the best example. You can get from DFW to Rowlett and from Carrollton to the VA Medical Ctr...all on rail. Hell you can go from Ft. Worth to Rowlett. I can easily get around Dallas on rail. I can't get to AT&T Stadium but I can get to American Airlines arena. I can get dropped off to drink at Deep Ellum. I get dropped off in front of SMU .
