I know they are costly. On our Suburban the cost for a set was $600 more than the OEM Bridgestone tires (Which are ok/not great). The expected "real world miles are 45,000. So I was faced with a decision. Do I pay $13 more for each thousand miles driven (1.3 cents per mile)

I bought the Michelins when the vehicle had 80,000 miles. They were unbelievable. The truck now has 140K. I bought the Bridgetones.

It all depends on the vehicle I guess.
