BUMP for update from CROW
Flew into Phoenix (car rental Sky Harbor = worst I have ever had. Waiting 1.5 hours in line to rent the jeep) Other than that we had a trip much better than expected.
Day One - Travel and check in VRBO home overlooking Oak Creek. visited Oak Creek, went shopping for groceries for the week.
Day Two - Up at dawn and checked out Broken Arrow, shopped in "downtown" Sedona ate average Tex/Mex lunch, went to the most beautiful Chapel of Holy Cross church in the mountain. Watch gorgeous sunset from the "Airport" area.
Day Three - Day trip to Grand Canyon (we have been there before) What can you say..just amazing. Went back to Flagstaff for the afternoon and ate ice cream in the square. Dinner late that night at Mariposa. One of the finest meals I gave had. The ambiance, service and the food = 5 Stars. Here are some pic...more to follow!
Outstanding view from Rental on Oak Creek
