Number 1 according to Baseball America in 2014 and 2018, and number 2 in 2020.
His hall of fame resume is undeniable. But right now, there are at least 5 coaches who are better than him.
That wasn’t my point. I’m saying you can’t continue to make excuses for the present based off of his past success. But if active wins is of major importance, then sure, let’s ride out PM for another 10 years and see where it leads.

he's not the best in the SEC but this is just silly

how is he being rewarded? By not being fired?

So from 2015 to the present, once by Baseball America. So not multiple times like you said. What about Vandy? Does Corbin suck because he's "only" managed 1 SEC title with 5 #1 classes in 7 years? Of course he doesn't. So why the double standard?

no, there really aren't. The only three that have any argument are Corbin, O'Sullivan, and Van Horn. You can throw out names like Tony Vitello, but until someone like that goes to a program and wins a conference title, does something in Omaha, etc., saying someone like that is better than PM is pure conjecture. Plenty of young rising coaches never amount to anything when given an opportunity at a major program. And I dare you to say Mike Bianco
