I knew it would be a shitshow but was anticipating being back to somewhat normal by August. I guess that was true in small LA but for it to still be limited capacity in restaurants (according to JBE rules at least) is beyond dumb. It hasn't affected me personally that much at all but I feel bad for the people who bought in on the fear. if you are healthy you should just go on living your life and if you happen to get a bad case of covid well there are risks we all take every day anyway.

My children went back to school for the first time in a year yesterday. I haven’t even gotten to the point of worrying about restaurant capacity. The economic and education impact will be far worse than the initial health impacts. The statistics just won’t be as widely reported. Politics fricked our response. Between the virtue signaling of the left and the conspiracy theories of the right we are destroying our way of life.
