The curse of the recent home opener...

The events leading up to tomorrow remind me of past home openers gone somewhat astray:
2005 Game moved twice
2004 Oregon St. game delayed for some time at the beginning because of storms
2003 ULM game delayed at the beginning because of heavy rains (if I remember right, they played about 3 minutes, then had a looong delay)

besides those three, what other openers were cursed?
(not counting playing A&M while Curly was coaching)

I was at all three......It almost turned into a little rainy opening game tradition.

But then in 2006 and 2007 we beat our opponents (UL-Lafayette and Virginia Tech) by a combined score of 93-10. So there's some good mixed in the middle there.

Should make for a better game from App State, less people and not playing in the heat of the day. Make is a little bit more competative. App prepared harder for this game than they ever have according to the coaches. i'll say 28 or 31 to 17.

10AM - 1PM is still pretty hot and humid in these parts, trust me.

I read on another thread tomorrow morning was supposed to be 72 at 9 o' clock. App practiced in the heat of the day in Boone all through summer workouts which is around 85 with 50% humidity. So it will be about what they practiced in. Couple that with the thinner atmosphere they should be in great condition for this game. I'm not going to say better than LSU but App's S&C coach was at LSU before App and knew how LSU practiced and pushed App to practice just as hard. Not saying it will translate to a win but should make it more competative.
I myself and heading to the Va Tech East Carolina game,
. Bought the tickets last night thinking I would be home in time to watch this game, boy what a mistake.

Just admit it was a mistake. Don't try and play it off. You're like the guy who trips over his own feet and puts his head up and walks with a limp like he always walks like that. Come on man!
