I don't do drugs anymore, but I can't believe I wasn't robbed and/or murdered in my college days considering all the trap houses I ventured into.

Those guys see white college students as a marketing opportunity. They want you to keep coming back and to tell your friends to start buying from them. They make a lot more $ by doing that than robbing you one time. I was always scared of getting robbed or something until I figured this out.
