I was in the 30s, then after the plunge I bought in the mid-teens dropping my cost basis to $22. My hope is the possibility of the award getting pulled drives this up to $22 where I can bail.

The idea is to hold it unless you have a better stock to transfer the money.
If the management team can hit its goals, then this stock will do very well. If they miss, then the stock will take a hit. It is a risk like all stocks. Your job is to determine how much is at risk and if you are ok with the risk level.
