its so funny people complain about the I-10 bridge in LC. back when we were kids and the Rainbow bridge was both directions, before the new bridge, well....it made the I-10 bridge seem like a cake walk.
Rainbow bridge with traffic both ways is the only time i have been scared going over a bridge.

I was on my way offshore at Sabine Pass early one morning and when I passed over the Rainbow Bridge there was someone walking up it from the east side. I found out later that the person had jumped off the bridge and committed suicide.
