As cool as Alexa and other voice apps are, we don't have it because of principle, not that we do anything that isn't boring.

Phones are the only thing I am aware of that are listening in my home.... and I am tempted to go back to rotary.

Once upon a time - actually twice upon a time - I selected a free Alexa and a free Google whatever-it's-called.


I hooked it up cuz I thought it might be a decent extra bluetooth speaker. Speaker sucked. Alexa doesn't understand East Texan well enough to play my music on command, so they're both sitting on a shelf, disconnected. Sounds quality was shite.
