Kirksey Nix was in the unit where I worked at Angola in 1996. He ran the Dixie Mafia from Angola until he got caught running scams on homosexuals. Dude raised 300K from prison with the lonely hearts scam.
He also had a Judge, Vincent Sherry killed from Angola.
He put a contract out in Sheriff Buford Pusser and his wife in 1967. The Sheriff and his wife were shot in their car. The Sheriff survived but his wife did not.

Served time and taught Carlos Marcello supposedly to read
English in Ft. Worth FCI back in the late 80's. Carlos's job there was to fill salt and pepper shakers and because it was co-ed he had a tiny old women as his "walkie" as they were called because the only interaction was you could walk arounnnnnnnnd together holding hands. Government finally banned co-ed prisons in the 90's because of the many women who became pregnant. Also, Carlo Civella from KC and Paulie from
Goodfellas were there and lived in the CHU unit.
