I hate to do plumbing and gladly pay a plumber.
It seems so simple but I always have to make two or three trips to the hardware store to get the simplest plumbing job done it seems.

This here. Just changing out the wax ring can turn into a real PITA. If all goes well it can be done in an hour...but my last one didn't go so well. I go to the store, get the ring and kit to replace gaskets on tank (easier to remove the tank when replacing the ring). Of course first problem is one of the bolts to the floor is free spinning. That takes an hour to take care of. After that, the bolt is ruined so it's back to the store for new bolts. Then the water line attachment to the tank leaks a bit so its a couple of hours adjusting and rechecking every 5 to 10 mins. Can't just endlessly tighten down on the plastic fittings either.
