True but they need to be able to prove they didn't fire due to discrimination or they'll get sued.
So in essence they need a legit reason to fire you to cover their arse.

This ^^^^
If the EEOC finds any merit to her complaint they'll issue a right to sue letter or take the matter up in her behalf.
Tulane can terminate for cause/without cause, but not with a pretext for justification.
