Returning from a deployment and moving to DC this summer. The wife and I are going to DC next month to do some house hunting and are wondering what you guys recommend as far as as the best Hilton property out there.
We are going without our kids so looking to feel/act like adults while we are out there. Looking for nice restaurants/places for a drink in the afternoon after done looking for houses. We want to stay in the DC downtown area and are willing to travel on the search. Thanks.

About 10 years ago we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on 14th street, between H & I streets and it was fine. I don’t know if it is the best Hilton property in DC though.
Get the Hilton app and use the Map function to see the location of the various hotels in the general area in which you want to stay.

What areas are you house hunting? (Moved back to GA after 10 years there)

The Conrad, if you really want to stay in the middle of everything. Parking and getting in/out will be a bit of a PITA.
Knowing that you will be driving to various areas rather than relying on the metro, I’d pick the Canopy by the Wharf. Area has changed tremendously in recent years and will give you easy Highway access.

Thanks all.
The wife is currently mapping that out. We have three young children so schools are the priority. I’ll also be working at Bolling, with probably a trip to the Pentagon every other week in the mix. I have a good friend we may rent from in Mt Vernon, but are going up to make sure.
Do you have any suggestions?
