different strokes for different folks i guess. just being family doesnt mean you are bound to be best buds for ever. i have a good relationship with my parents who i see and speak with very regularly. my sister is just my sister. nothing against her, but if we werent family wed never interact with one another. just is what it is. my best friend growing up was in a classic mexican catholic family where he had a bunch of siblings. his oldest sibling was a brother who was 16 when he was born. how could he possibly have a relationship with him, or any of his older siblings who were out of the house by the time he was 6. just is what it is sometimes
