The Bolshevik revolution didn't happen out of nowhere. Many people have an innate need to be told how to live, and get very mad when others say they don't agree.

I kind of got into it with my parents during Christmas. My dad was being a Karen and says "Why can't people understand that rules are rules and you have to obey them." Having lived in China for 3 years and not only seeing but hearing horror stories on what they've done to their population (some of which involved forced sterilizations) over not following dumb bullshite rules kind of pissed me off. Yes, I will be considerate until the most vulnerable have their vaccines (and that's coming to an end in March or early April), but this is how you get tyranny.

People are wondering how Nazi Germany rose to power and people let them get away with atrocities. Look around you, we've arrived at fascism. Fascism is not a right or left wing concept, it is when business merges with the state to strip you of your individual liberty. China right now has a structure that more represents Nazism than Communism. If you replace "coronavirus" with "Jew", then that gives you a better idea how good people let horrific atrocities happen. But all people want is to be left alone, keep our fricking head down, and tell us what to do. "Please don't hurt me" you say when they just out goodness of their hearts let you keep your life and job so long as you give up your liberty. Thugs that want to beat you into submission have taken over everything in this country, and now the mask is off.

Ben Franklin put it best:
