Yeah..my deer hunting buddy uses a .270 but only if I have my big gun with me. If not, he takes a 45-70. We hunt on Admiralty Island, where the big bears are in numbers.

OK let me give both of you an actual scenario.....a guy that worked with my now ex-wife killed a brown bear that measured 11' X 11'.....seriously.....now what do you want to use?
