quote:
Our country consists of drunks and dope smokers. We can’t even get through life with substances to take the “edge”’off of our stressful life of having it fricking made living here.
Amen. Americans are so unbelievably short sited, ungrateful, and insane we spend our lives in the greatest country in human history with more technology and comfort than any other point in history complaining about how hard our life is because of made up problems the ruling class jams down our throat.
It is fricking disgusting. We are a nation of petulant children throwing tantrums and no one ever puts us in our place. We are the enormous equivalent of obese children full of sugar screaming endlessly.
I think this is really a great study about the human psyche. We seem unable to handle success and happiness as a society.
Perhaps this is why most empire fall right near their peak.
The people get so spoiled and lazy they start inventing reasons to be angry instead of accepting happiness.
To quote a brilliant line in the matrix:
quote:
Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world? Where none suffered, where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through suffering and misery. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from.
