I’m my area there are a couple of big “ professionals” contractors that will always make appointments on time etc
But they are much higher and I think they charge even to come out for an estimate
The guys you are dealing with will come check out the job and rank your job on value to them, as long as other jobs are more valuable to them you won’t see them. They keep stringing you along in case they need to fall back on your job.
I’m sure their intention is to get back to you but bigger jobs keep coming up
