I'm not saying what the father said was right or wrong. That is something each person can decide. His wife said that her husband says strong things on topics, but feels confident he would never hurt anyone. Whatever the case, he is probably the bread winner and his family turned on him over a hollow threat. Who hasn't told their kids "if you ever do x,y,z I'm gonna kill you?" We all know that they wouldn't actually kill their kids, but we can pretend every parent who ever said that should go to jail.

Apparently, the interview is over on the kids twitter page. I don't do twitter, but he is being hailed a courageous hero with a fine moral compass. I'm sure they will start a gofundme and the poor family will make millions. Who needs a dad, even if he was misguided, right? He'll have plenty of time to think about his misguided patriotism and being at a protest. Doubt he will find the rehabilitation that prison offers.
