Why is the media pushing so hard to convincing is that fatties are healthy and attractive?
Because saying otherwise is "mean" and we don't want people to be "fat shamed". Even though MEDICAL DOCTORS do it every day for good reason. Also, maintaining a healthy weight isn't always easy. It takes a modicum of self control and discipline which, in 2021, are becoming rejected virtues in the US. Why deprive yourself of 6 lbs of chocolate cake every day when that is no fun or pleasurable? Let's just make morbidly obese (which the women in the photo are) beautiful rather than encourage such difficult virtues as self control.
"I'm not physically unattractive because I weigh 300 lbs. YOU'RE the problem if you don't think I'm attractive. Thus we have to change the way YOU think...because I'm not doing anything to change the way I look!"
High School is just a microcosm of life. We use to value the strong and successful. Now we "value" the misfits and losers.
