Just curious as to why they suck? I bought a timer and soaker hose to use while we’re on vacations this summer. It seemed to work great when I tested it out yesterday.

soaker hoses are great if one hose covers all the area you need, like if you just have one raised bed or maybe multiple but using a short hoses for each one (Do they sell short ones?). Or if you have a few rows on ground in a well draining area.
