I've been growing tomatoes for quite a few years and tried many different varieties. In my opinion Big Beef is the way to go. It's all I grow now. Very good producers and good disease resistance. LSU Ag Center recommends them and several commercial growers I know use them almost exclusively. Large tasty tomatoes. You can't go wrong with them. Juliet is a very good cherry type tomato.

Found this 2007 article from the LSU AgCenter.

I don’t agree with their taste test results. But I guess that’s subjective. I never tried a few of those, but I definitely wouldn’t put celebrities as number 1.
