No

I have to do the daily COVID numbers that are reported to state and federal level.

They specifically ask for number of patients with confirmed COVID in an inpatient setting. They also ask for patients with suspected COVID in an inpatient setting. I actually go through all the patients that are inpatient (which is NOT the ER) that have pending tests and read their charts to see if they are being tested cause they have symptoms...or for another reason(ex: screening so they can be discharged to a SNF, etc). I only count those that they are truly thinking COVID.

They do ask for how many suspected or confirmed COVID patients are waiting for an inpatient bed in the ER though.

So you the only one doing this counting nationwide? I guess we can then trust your response in that no hospitals are fudging the numbers, since you are the one who does the count. Blessed be you thy nurse hero we all is be needing.
