Select a tract of land you like buy it (get a couple buddies or family you can deal with), manage it, enjoy it, and quit wasting money on leases and assholes.
Also in 10-15 years you still have your paid of property.

This. It’s very easy to find quality hunting land for real cheap. For you and a couple of buddies to hunt all you’ll need is about 500 hundred acres. Shouldn’t be more than 1.5-2 million dollars. Which you can finance of course, you’ll just need a few hundred grand for the down payment. Then you’ll need a camp, equipment for the up keep, stands, food plots, etc. But so what. At least you won’t be wasting your time and money on a lease.
