LSU baseball is one of the few baseball programs in America that operate in “the black”. LSU baseball is 100% self sufficient. Unlike all other LSU athletic programs (with the exception of basketball), LSU baseball is not reliant on football to pay it’s bills. That said, LSU baseball is heavily reliant on attendance to generate ample revenue to pay it’s bills. They do not operate at a deficit in normal years.

You’re living a lie! No TAF revenue from football..... then no new LSU baseball stadium. So stop saying we can’t spend money on a new basketball arena. When they spend 40 million dollars for a stadium on a sport (baseball) that makes no money!

Two things can be true.

There is no new LSU baseball stadium without LSU football

LSU baseball turns a profit yearly. It has been this way for a long time.

Sounds like your ignorance has bitten you in the arse. The New Alex Box was paid for with TAF money the same way most LSU football projects are paid for. LSU baseball has operated in the black for quite a long time. Do your research. When I say LSU baseball operates in the black, my meaning is that the team covers all team related expenses and cost with money it earned itself. That’s not fan donations or TAF money. FYI, that is construed as operating “in the black”. Basketball also operates in the black; however, basketball would never generate the revenue necessary to pay off a new arena. That would be TAF money, same as for baseball and football and every other sport project at LSU. You do realize that the TAF is not just for football; right? TAF raises funds for all LSU athletic programs. TAF has zero relationship to annual revenue of any LSU sport.
