"He's got a knack for running the football," Chargers coach Norv Turner said. "He's a good football player and he brings that energy that you want to the football team."

"Before I even met him, I said 'He's a football player,"' Rivers said. "That's the kind of guy you want on your side."

There are so many experts on this site, it's not even funny.

Seriously... look at all the threads. Everyone knows everything here. They know who the starting QB should be. They know which back should get the bulk of the carries. Expert analysts on not just LSU, but every team in the country.

The people who kept saying this were typically the same people who continually came on The Rant calling everyone else "Rantards" because they didn't share their expert nerd opinions.

Well frick, they might as well become professional scouts as well since they have such a great eye for talent.

I like how everyone hasn't seen one second of practice but knows what the depth chart should be.
doc- sensitive to the ranter thing? and i never once said anything negative about hester, feel free to search.

Yeah, just because the people who used it the most last year were basically wrong about everything they were trying to argue, and yet they keep using it to this very day.
If you condescend to people (and Lord knows I'm guilty of this myself), then you might be an a-hole, but you also might be right.
If you condescend to people and also refuse to admit when you're wrong, then you're just shite, and probably need to STFU.
EDIT: I, for one, now know to shut my damn mouth when it comes to NCAA playoff committee decisions, because I shot my mouth off this spring and was made to look like a complete arse. I was terribly wrong. Live and learn.

i agree, these are the ones i consider "rantards"
i have no problem admitting when i'm wrong, basically because i have so much practice at it

Shouldn't this really be singular?

reminds me of Lincoln's quotes during the dark days of the Civil War.
"We are indeed unfortunate - All our generals would make great newspaper editors, and all our newspaper editors would make great generals."

That's Lee's quote, I do declare!

It shouldn't be singular; but it does almost seem that way. There was one 'tard in particular who denigrated both Hester and Flynn at every turn, and said poster (unfortunately) also happened to be in the midst of trying to break the Guiness Book of World Records for most time spent on the internet.
Here's my salute to that poster

And there's always room for one more. So bring on the outrageous opinions and inside knowlege.
On a serious note, congratulations to Hester. Hope he has a long and rewarding NFL career. He is an outstanding representative for our University and we the Tiger Faithful will always love and respect him.
