I looked at every manufacturer in Louisiana during the summer of 2019 for what I perceived to be the best value overall for a large frame 25 hp tractor. I looked at the Kubota l2501, mahindra 1526, jd 3025, kioti 2610, Massey Ferguson 25 (Same tractor as mahindra), the ls 3025 (mt225), and the Branson. Overall I liked the kioti the best, but I didn’t have a dealer within 2+ hours of home. The kubota honesty felt the “most solid” I just didn’t like the gas tank over the motor, and the rocker pedal Was uncomfortable to me. The jd was probably the most comfortable tractor but by far the wimpiest. It only has 2 ranges, high and low, and low is too slow for continuous work, and high is too weak to do any real tractoring. I ultimately came down to choosing between the ls 3025 and the mahindra 1526. Spec wise the mahindra has the higher 3pt lift capacity, and better fel lift cap. They are both comparable from a stock feature standpoint. I ultimately ended up with the ls and I’m really happy with it. Even tho they are the same class and hp, the mahindra just felt and operated smaller.
At the end of the day they were all good tractors. You should go put your eyes on every color tractor. I never even thought about an ls until i drove it and it just felt right fit for me. Sit on all of them, operate all of them and see what is the most comfortable to you.
