The Wire : Randy and Cheese

Was looking on IMDb and noticed both last names are Wagstaff. Cheese was Randy’s father.
I may be the only one that didn’t know this but have never seen it mentioned. Uncle Prop Joe should have put Randy to work. He had some good candy selling hustle.

There’s a scene in S4 where a dickhead police catches him & asks him his name. He says Randy Wagstaff, dude replies “I know you ain’t lying, wouldn’t nobody make that shite up.”

Yeh there have been a lot of fan speculation about this, as well as the post above with the quote. I like to think that is the case, as Cheese seems like the kinda guy who would have kids he wouldn't know/care about. "A class on evading Child Support Payments? Where Cheese go to enlist?"

That’s perfect.
I did some googling and found the same info others did. He could have at least let the kid watch his dog.
