If it was just strictly a “business decision” Marshall would quit no matter our record. His risks would be the same

This. frick all the other idiots on here who act like they are an NFL scout (or an agent) and know what’s going on behind the scenes with college athletes opting out. They are just like us — we don’t know either.

This is not at all comparable. Devin left AFTER the season was over. Marshall is QUITTING MID-SEASON. He punked his teammates last week acting like he gave a shite about them and the program only to quit on them the following week.

Marshall used this COVID opt out stuff to leave. Devin White clearly was a Top 5 pick. Also projected Top 21 pick also means you can slide the Round 2. NFL teams are definitely going to be curious on why he didn't just opt out this season instead of playing 7 games and dipping during the teeth of the schedule. How convenient you quit right before you face Bama and Florida DBs.
