I'm hoping that Van Gundy's offense being a little more structured and a little less Gentry-stupid, Lonzo can cut down on some of the more ridiculous turnovers
Gentry's offense mostly consisted of, "Go out and play." His defense, "What's defense."
I love Gentry as a person and an assistant, but he is not head coach material. I saw that half way through year one. It's why I zoned out for the most part the last 5 years.

As for Lonzo, we should give him a fair go and then reevaluate at the trade deadline. The only potential downside to holding off until then is if his play slips, but I think that's a slim chance under Gundy.
If he blows up, consider trading him to avoid needing to invest big in him going forward and get max return. If he plays as good or a little better than last year, maybe consider keeping him.
As for "where he fits", he will be one of the 2 guards on the floor. That's the long and short of it. Van Gundy already said he will use lineups with 2 and 3 ball handlers, as other teams have done.
