Well I fished a lot in cold water fisheries up north in the summer. Never wore waders in summer but have lost feeling in my toes a few times.

One time I went steelhead fishing in jan and that water was so cold my waders nor my wool socks could keep the up river foot warm.

Winter steelhead separates the men from the boys.

Explain this..
Not steelhead, but I’ve fished for trout many times, in extremely cold, moving water.
Never noticed a difference in my two feet.
