You can buy a General Steel Building for pennies. Or an American Steel Building made in Tennessee. I've inspected homes you would swear were block or frame homes, just to have the owner tell me it was a Steel Building then show me the columns and panels in exposed areas. One was a two million dollar house. Don't have to worry about termites and the majority of the buildings have wind uplift testing to the rate of 150 mph.
I was put in charge of rebuilding Beckwith Electric in Largo, FL using a Butler building. Because it was rated for 150 mph. In the Board meeting, the son asked "So this means the building will now withstand a Cat 5 hurricane?" "Come on, you're an Engineer, do you really believe the building would survive a Cat 5 if one window or door were blown in during the worst part of the storm? Once the penetration occurs ....game over."

These are made by Nucor. And it'll more than likely come out of the Nucor Building Systems location in Terrell, TX.

I can tell you from experience Hurricane Laura flattened tons of metal buildings in Lake Charles.
If you do one do a steel frame commercial grade. The cheap pole barns are all gone in Hurricane Laura. Some steel frame buildings are gone too. Once the doors go the whole thing goes. So get commercial grade doors. The ones with living quarters did better bc I think the studs from the living quarters tightened the building up. Mine is rated for 140 mph winds and it survived with minimal damage. My 2 neighbors both lost their steel frame buildings but neither of them had living quarters. My neighbor said his 16 ft roll up doors were flapping like flags in the wind until the whole building went.
