Unfortunately, it's not something that I read in a book. I learned it first hand, the real life cry and puke your guts up way, and I will die without seeing justice done. It's already been a lifetime.
As I already said before, the chances are almost zero, for me needing to worry about something like that, and even less for me to be at fault, I still wouldn't sit around and wait for the police. My limited experience in that kind of matter, tells me that I should leave. It worked for many other people.
