Lets not downplay Finley’s Start last night but let’s not get ahead of ourselves also

I see a lot of “ it’s against South Carolina. They suck,” News flash, everyone we played so far sucks. We praised Myles Brennan for putting up great numbers against Vandy and Mizzou, getting better every week, but they are garbage just like Scar. Just because Finley didn’t put up crazy numbers means you should downplay how composed he looked.
Now I do believe that the coaches had a much better game-plan on offense this week than they did in previous weeks. The way they called this game for Finley is the same way they should have called every game for Myles Brennan, especially the Miss St game since it was his first start. That would have given Myles a chance to get comfortable in that game. Even though Myles had good numbers in that Miss St game, he never looked comfortable, and I blame play calling.
So for now on, we need to establish the run with John Emery as the starter and TDP as the backup, not that rotation on every drive bullshite and get Myles into a rhythm with quick throws whenever he comes back. I love Finley, but Myles shouldn’t lose his job to injury, especially since he has improved every week.
