frick, I will volunteer to learn and play the song on an instrument of their choice for free! There is nothing racist about the song.
Pretty soon they are going to ban the banjo because it is obviously a symbol of oppression since it was often used in minstrel shows.

They should do like Reagan with the air traffic controllers and just fire them all and get replacements. They won't though which is what allows this stuff to fester.

Supposedly all band members are volunteers (not the TN real UT kind). The univ should hire outside musicians, put them in uniform and have them play it.
