Great grandfather and his team of researchers invented the Grain dryer that goes on grain bins.
Grandfather and his partner had a lab and created an organic process that eliminated e-coli and salmonella bacteria from meats and produce and extended the shelf life of food an additIonal 2-3 weeks. Did not make a lot of money off it because large food processors refused to admit that food quality was an issue and most wouldn’t implement the process. A few small processors use it though but it never took off in a big way. Had a contract to manufacture and sell small units through Cabelas to do the process at home but it fell through because they hired incompetent people to deal with that manufacturing and kept missing deadlines.
My grandfather being a doctor is one of those brilliant men when it comes to medicine, disease, biology but when it comes to business, not so much
