Fair enough. For the record that part was meant as a broad statement, wasn’t meaning to just single you out or anything. But I assumed wrong there. As that is typically how this debate plays out. People want to keep the aggressive organized patriotism before and within sections of the games, but remove the ability for players to make alternative statements....Or we’ll cancel you lol.
When it’s good to step back and realize this stuff didn’t just materialize and perpetuate because god came down and said the righteous will display flags of America at all sports events, sing songs of its greatness, and routinely speak in specific language of its supposed exceptionalism before and during all events, it became a thing because of politics and it continued to be a thing because of politics and money. Largely money.
And deviations that germinate in response to that pageantry are political because they respond to and bounce off a politically motivated and rooted display. And those deviations can’t exist or make proper sense without the other.

FWIW on NBA Radio they just said belief around New Orleans is even though he's looking around, Tye Lue is coming to the Pels.
